Participate in teaching Amor Tanzania make a contribution to the education of growing children. Amor  offers a wide range of volunteer teaching opportunities across Tanzania. In most cases, volunteers help in improving the vocabulary as well as the spoken English skills of the students. You may also get involved in teaching other subjects such as Computers/IT skills, Mathematics,  Geography, General Knowledge etc., as per the requirement. You can assist the teachers during their lessons, think of activity-based learning methods and give proper attention to the children. Often, volunteers also take up the cause of renovating the school premises, making them more friendly and vibrant for the kids. Volunteers can also assist in extracurricular activities such as sports and games.

You don’t have to be a professional teacher, and you would not need a  Certificate to volunteer at Amor Tanzania for our English Teaching Projects. Volunteers just need to have a good command over written and conversational English. Volunteers should be open-minded, flexible and prepared to face challenges. In some projects, volunteers find themselves teaching in an open-air classroom and the need for creativity and improvisation is paramount. We encourage our volunteers to raise funds in case they choose to bring along some useful materials and supplies which can be utilized for the project like coloring books, charts, study materials, pens & pencils, notebooks etc.

At Emerald school Is part of Amor Tanzania we have two campuses : one is mainly for toddlers between 9 months and 4 years old, and the other campus is for children between 5 – 13 years old.

• At Primary school, you can assist the local teachers with teaching, preparing teaching aids, and other activities.
• At the Pre-school, support the teachers by playing games with the kids, teaching, helping to prepare meals for the children
